I wanted to talk a bit about Under Armour Tactical. We really like what they have been doing and our customers have also been taking to it by storm. The boots as you may now know are so lite weight that it is hard to describe.  The Under Armour Valsetz Tactical Boot for instance only weights 15.3 oz. in both desert tan and black.  The low sneaker is ever less.  But not just boots, we are full of Tactical UA shorts, Tech tee shirts that feel like cotton but work like Under Armour's Hear Gear should and the tried and true compression gear along with so much more.  The brand has come a long way to catch the eye of the tactical teams. I have used the compression Heat Gear for a while as under shirts and it really works to regulate your body temperature and make you cooler. So cop- a-feel and see for  yourself what all the buzz is about. 

Wise Emergency food Grab n Go Food Kit Bucket has become popular over military Meals Ready to Eat and the traditional freeze dried camping food to use for emergency or camping. We did a taste test in the Jacksonville Army Navy Outdoors store and the staff agreed that they are very good. Some of the meals were a bit salty but they were good. The WISE Grab-n-go buckets are much more cost effective.then buying individual freeze dried meals and much less then M.R.E.s. Each Wise bucket has 60 entrees that are individually wrapped so you only need to eat what you need. In terms of Emergency food storage this is the best method unlike #10 food cans where you have to eat them in 7 days. The most popular of the WISE foods is the vegetarian based. I do eat meat but when it comes to freeze dried or anything processed I prefer the vegetarian option. You can also purchase the meat entrees in a separate in smaller packs. T

• People love that they are only committing to 4 servings when opening a pouch instead of 15 - 30 servings out of a #10 can that must all be eaten in 7 - 10 days.

• You can open and close the bucket as many times as you want and it doesn't effect the shelf life.

• Each pouch is triple nitrogen flushed to remove all the residual oxygen before the pouch is sealed.

• When comparing apples to apples with Mountain House (our largest competitor) we are 20 - 30 percent less expensive and most people prefer the taste of our food over theirs.

• #10 cans come 6 in a cardboard box, if there is a flood, box is unusable and potential rusting of cans. Whereas you can dunk our bucket in mud and IF it gets in the bucket you can just rinse off the pouches and they still have a 25 year shelf life.

• Buying this food is like an investment... right now you spend $1.50 - $2.00 per serving… who knows what food prices will be in 25 years.

                                                We love surplus. The store is filled with new cool surplus and we are still looking for more. From classic items list ALICE Packs and Russian Gas Masks to hard to find PUMA Bags and US Gov. Issue Tac Vests. Some items have history but most are just useful like the Czech canvas backpack that is a soft multipurpose ruck great for camping, festivals and an overnight travel bag.  There is even more in the store then online like pouches and MOLLE gear.

The Tru-Spec 24-7 covert shirt is now out and loaded with so many features we had to write about it.   The shirt was designed along with air marshals to be the most inconspicuous yet multi functional on the market.  We do like the 5.11 Covert shirt but this has some more multiple options carry features we liked.  The shirt is first made in several very basic pin stripe combination so that it hides the break away seams and people will really not notice your shirt at all.  If you like to carry your weapon in a shoulder holster or vest, then you will use the front break away snaps.  They look like buttons but the snaps are actually under them and simply tear open.  If you carry in the pant or on a belt then there are slits on both sides of the bottom to access your weapon fast.  The unique design is that you can tuck your shirt in or leave it out.  There is also a method if you are wearing a belt with other gear such as cuffs or OC spray.   Made in wash and wear no-iron fabric these shirts are made to travel and be easy to wear.
