Product Description

Original U.S. Issue Combat Vehicle Crewman's FR Balaclava

The U.S. Issue Combat Vehicle Crewman's FR Balaclava, was a trusted FR Hood for those on the front lines. Originally designed for US military tank crews, this balaclava is made from durable NOMEX fire-resistant material, ensuring protection in case of fire emergencies. Its double-layer construction not only safeguards against flames, but also provides much-needed warmth during long hours inside a cold tank and will work great for everyday work and hunting. The extra tab on the nose makes it easy to change the face coverage wihile wearing gloves.

A thick military balaclava, it features an extended bib-style neck that covers the shoulders and upper torso when tucked inside the combat vehicle coveralls or shirt, offering full coverage and insulation without worrying about the elements. Trust in its proven design and stay prepared in any situation. A vintage item hard to find and worth its weight in warmth and function.

Condition Guide

Surplus is real military gear, and the exact conditions may vary.  We grade used military surplus to give you options and offer a clearer description. Military gear was built well and used by soldiers proving its tested quality.  We hope you find that it serves you well.

Grade 1 Like New:  Out of the factory case or may have only minor signs of use or storage marks.

Grade 2 Used: What we call normal used surplus. The gear is fully usable and shows normal signs of use with a lot of life left. Some items may have stains, writing, color fading, repairs, and or surface rust on them.  We find that up to a small 1/4” hole or frays does not repair well and do not affect the gears performance.
