The Level 1 underwear of the  E.C.W.C.S. system.is made to be the first layer that may be worn independently to keep you dry and warm in moderate cold weather. When you are working hard you sweat even in the cold and this first layer keeps your skin dry in turn keeps you warmer.  Use this with the Gen III Level II as it gets colder.  Being able to layer is the key to warmth.  Made of 4 Oz 100% Polyester Jersey Knit Fabric will keep you dry and comfortable all day. This item runs big and we prefer it to be more snug as a base layer.
