Knife Self-Defense

Posted by Peter on 4th Aug 2015

Knives are one of the most commonly carried everyday use tools in the world. Whether they are fixed blade or fold-up, these lightweight, multi-use tools make for an excellent choice as an everyday carry item and can also be useful for self-defense, should the need arise.

In order to maximize the usefulness of a knife as a self-defense weapon, you should consider two things as primary goals. First, what kind of knife best suits my needs? Secondly, you should seek out and receive proper training from a professional who has experience with knife self-defense techniques.

Fortunately, Army Navy Outdoors is here to offer you a unique opportunity to achieve both of those goals. On Saturday, August 8th we will have an in-house demonstration of one of the finest quality tactical and everyday use knife makers in the world, Benchmade. Their quality crafted blades are of the finest quality, and a professionally trained blade sharpener will be on hand to restore your dull and tired blade to fresh sharpness for FREE.

We will also have a professional knife instructor in the store to provide you with a lesson in knife self-defense. He has trained law enforcement and military personnel in a variety of knife defense tactics, and will be stressing key fundamentals in self-defense techniques, such as sharpening awareness and reacting to real-life high stress situations that require knife defense.

Please feel free to call or come by the store with any questions you may have regarding the special Benchmade knife event we have going on Saturday, August 8th. The self-defense techniques class is a free event. You can bring in one knife for a free sharpening by our professionally trained blade sharpener who will be in-house, with a small fee for any additional knives that you would like sharpened.

We sincerely look forward to seeing you in the store on Saturday, August 8th. We provide these free classes as a benefit to our loyal customers and we thank you for coming to our store and sharing your business with us! See you Saturday!
