The XMRE Blue Line MRE Meal was made for the need to have a longer shelve inspection life of 5 years and meet the calorie needs of public service response personal or emergency preparedness programs. Each complete meal has 1,000 to 1,200 calories. All items are made fresh with the lot number date code stamped on the outside of each meal pack. Meals Ready to Eat MRE's are fully cooked and can be eaten right straight from the pouch cold or be use with the MRE heater by just adding some water. The Blue line series MRE can have a shelf-life of 5 years or more depending on storage room temperature and conditions. After such time, the meal may loose nutritional value and taste but are still good to eat after inspection of the individual packaging to be free from air.
