The very warm Cold Weather Mitten Insert was made for the Outdoor Research Firebrand glove but may also be used with other mittens as a replacement liner.  The outer fabric is made from a lightweight ripstop nylon making them usable by themselves for light use to quickly warm your hands in between tasks.  The inside fleece lining offers plenty of insulation to keep you warm.  We found they make great replacements for snow sport and work mittens
