The military issue thermal undershirt base layer is made to keep you warm and free from preparation when working hard. Designed in 2005 to be a lightweight layer to fit snug under clothing as part of the LWCWUS (Light Weight Cold Weather Underwear System) now updated as the ECWCS.  The 1/4 zipper allows it to vent and the high collar may be folded down or zipped up for extra protection.  It is great for daily use when in the outdoors at a great price.
