The military issue thermal bottom base layer is made to keep you warm and free from preparation when working hard. Designed in 2005 to be a lightweight layer to fit snug under clothing as part of the LWCWUS (Light Weight Cold Weather Underwear System) now updated as the ECWCS.  The ribbed cuffs and strong elastic waistband keep a snug comfortable fit without creating bulk or riding under your clothes.  It is great for daily use when in the outdoors at a great price.
