Military 550 Paracord 100'

We use U.S. made military-spec paracord and there is a difference so be sure you don't just buy paracord and make sure it is 550. Real 550 cord is a lightweight nylon kernmantle rope Mil-C-5040h Type III that was originally used in parachutes during WWII.  It has a breakage strength of 550 pounds and is made using 7 stands inside a single jacket.  550 cords will even make a friction cut by quickly moving if from side to side during escape and evasion cutting through zip-tie restraints.  The first thing we suggest is to replace outdoor boot laces with 550 cord and not only will it be stronger, but you will have emergency cord if you ever need it.
