The MSR (Mountain Safety Research) Evo Ascent snowshoes are true all-around performers.  Used by the USMC they are made of a rugged UniBody™ deck that provides durability and all-condition traction.  These also come with the tail that allows you to go from more packed trails to off trail powder and carry more load without sinking.  The bindings are fully adjustable called TriFit™ bindings that give you real security on uneven slopes. Just be sure to really tighten them down and they will stay in place and give you the support you need.  The Evo comes with a built-in Televator heel lifts that reduce calf fatigue when climbing uphill.  MSR is well known for their aggressive design that really works.  We have used these and are by far the staff favorite.
