Why we like it.  The external pockets are a main reason this mid-size backpack stands out.  They are large enough for medical, food and essential gear.  There is also plenty of MOLLE to add more pouches which we love.  The mid-size is plenty big on the top end of medium and works for a good all-around back from travel to hiking and tac gear.
