The 3 Layer Breathable Nylon ECWCS (Extended Cold Weather Clothing System) are military style pants made to fit over your existing pants. Redesigned to have 3-layers to be waterproof, windproof, and breathable, they are better than ever. TRU-SPEC® used Bemis seam tapes for waterproof protection to be sure they do not leak. Bemis is the recognized worldwide technology leader in providing thermoplastic films for a myriad of industrial applications. We have discovered that the new TRU-SPEC® military style ECWCS pants are much better than the old standard foul weather pants. The new fit has an elastic waist. We find it much more comfortable than the old drawstring version. The material is very durable, and we recommend them for work, bush crafting and general backcountry use where lightweight pants will not hold up. They are great for blocking the wind and keeping you 100% dry. They also work well along with cold weather gear as they were intended to. Access to your pants underneath is not a problem as the pockets are open making it easier to transfer items or to reach your waist.
