The FREE Clothing System is specifically designed to meet the needs of combat vehicle crewmen and aircrew members. Made with a blend of 46% Nomex, 41% Cotton, 10% Nylon, and 3% other materials. As a part of this system, the IWOL (Intermediate Weather Outer Layer) jacket combines fire resistance with exceptional wind and water resistance. Its 4-way stretch fabric ensures flexibility and comfort during demanding tasks. 

The UCP Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble soft shell has everday funtinoal features like fleece-lined chest and hand pockets ensure warmth and comfort in cold weather, while the pen/tool pockets on the lower sleeves add convenience for quick access to essential tools. With cord lock cinch pulls at the waist, this jacket allows for a customizable fit, ensuring optimal comfort and preventing cold air from seeping in. The hook and loop fields on the shoulders also provide space for ID patches, while the chest, waist, and shoulder pockets, all equipped with zipper closures, offer secure storage options.

Condition Guide

Surplus is real military gear, and the exact conditions may vary.  We grade used military surplus to give you options and offer a clearer description. Military gear was built well and used by soldiers proving its tested quality.  We hope you find that it serves you well. 

Grade 1 Like New:  Out of the factory case or may have only minor signs of use or storage marks.

Grade 2 Used: What we call normal used surplus. The gear is fully usable and shows normal signs of use with a lot of life left. Some items may have stains, writing, color fading, repairs, and or surface rust on them.  We find that up to a small 1/4” hole or frays does not repair well and do not affect the gears performance.
