The Level 5 ACU Soft Shell Pant is a Gen III outer layer pant designed for extreme weather conditions. Part of the FREE or IWAL Clothing System, (Fire Resistant Environmental Ensemble), these pants are engineered with a blend Nomex and other materials to meet the specific needs of combat vehicle crewmen and aircrew members. The Extreme Weather Outer Layer (EWOL) component is made from water and windproof Gore-Tex material while maintaining its fire-resistant properties. It is the outermost layer of the FREE system, providing great protection against harsh weather conditions.
