The IMTV U.S. Issue Plate and Armor Carrier is specially designed to provide exceptional scalability, protective coverage, and maneuverability according to mission requirements.  The Improved Modular Tactical Vest (IMTV) also provides more efficient weight distribution, enhanced protection to the lateral torso, with less exposed area on the sides and under the arms. Ideal for quick donning and doffing, this high-performance vest also features a 2-point cut away system, 360° MOLLE compatible webbing attachment points for pouches, and lower back, groin, neck/throat protection and an internal cummerbund for optimal fit. 

The soft armor included in the vest is expired and not guaranteed or intended to stop fragments or a bullet.  Average Armor life expectancy is 5 years from the date of manufacture due to material breakdown.
