Fit & Sizing
The Navy Pea Coat is sized according to the chest size of a sports or suit jacket. The size is also made to fit over the dress suit jacket and is sized according to do so. If you want this to fit more snug with a sweater or normal shirt, order a size down. For example a man size 42 would fit over a person wearing a suit jacket in size 42. If you wish the flexibility or extra room for layers, order your correct size.

History

The Pea Coat's history goes back to the 1800's and circumnavigated the world.  Originating from the Dutch then making it to the U.S. Navy as a standard issue jacket.  Made of heavy duty wool as the best fabric option for cold and wet environments.  The double breasted design allows not only the dress look for officers but works to double wrap your chest. The Navy Pea Coat's high lapel can also be buttoned up to the top along with it's flip up collar allowing for extra protection and warmth.  Originally, The Pea Coat's vents were installed to allow a sailor hip room to climb the ropes and work without being restricted.  The Navy wool Pea Coat has been a tradition for such a long time because it not only works but looks sharp then and still today.
