The USMC issue backpack combination gives you both the USMC FILBE MOLLE II Assault Pack and the full-size USMC FILBE Rucksack. The Assault backpack was designed to be carried on shorter missions by the United States Marine Corps and can also be attached as a piggyback to the larger FILBE main rucksack for the longer missions. The Main backpack (Family of Improved Load Bearing Equipment) was designed to be the standard issue upgrade for a Marines load carry system and able to be used in conjunction with body armor holding all the gear needed for deployment.
