Condition Guide

Surplus is real military gear, and the exact conditions may vary.  We grade used military surplus to give you options and offer a clearer description. Military gear was built well and used by soldiers proving its tested quality.  We hope you find that it serves you well.

Grade 1 Like New:  Out of the factory case or may have only minor signs of use or storage marks.

Grade 2 Used: What we call normal used surplus. The gear is fully usable and shows normal signs of use with a lot of life left. Some items may have stains, writing, color fading, repairs, and or surface rust on them.  We find that up to a small 1/4” hole or frays does not repair well and do not affect the gears performance.

How To Use a Military Dry Bag

Packliner

If you're in for an adventure, a dry bag is a must-have. You can attach the main pack liner USMC dry bag as a packliner outside the backpack or gym pack. This can add an extra protective layer to your belongings to keep them stay dry at all times. It is absolutely perfect for outdoor activities such as when you hike, mountain bike, or raft. Additionally, it can be used to carry extra gear when needed on your trip.

Remember to look for a packline that is made from waterproof material. A rubberized or ripston nylon is a great choice to ensure a robust closure system. Look for a dry bag that could completely cover your backpack when it is fully loaded. Extra accessories such as padded shoulder straps and handles are also an awesome feature to consider.

Organizer

A well-organized bag can help make packing and unpacking hassle-free, and make sure that you have everything you need while on your trip. When traveling, it's important to be as organized as possible, and using dry bags will be of great help. This means having a bag that can hold everything you might need while on the go. For adventurers, a dry bag often means that you can protect even fragile items such as a camera and bottled essentials.

Vacuum Bag

A vacuum bag is a great tool to have when traveling on outdoor adventures. It is a lightweight dry sack and can be easily packed in your backpack. Through the air purge release valve of the SealLine USMC issue military stuff sack, you can save space by up to 80% and make it as compact and compressed as you can so no vacuum needed in this case. This is so perfect for anyone that doesn't need bulky items.

Floater

When you're outside and find yourself in need of a floater, there's no need to panic! Emergency floaters are designed for just such an occasion and a dry bag is perfect for this urgency. Make sure that the bag is filled with air and it's tightly sealed on the inside. Simply locate the nearest body of water and toss the floater in. It will quickly keep you safely afloat. If you are in doubt about your ability to swim to safety, or if the water is too rough for swimming, stay with your floater until help arrives. Emergency floaters are a reliable and essential piece of safety gear for anyone spending time near bodies of water. Many have survived the water with an emergency floater!

Laundry Bag

When it comes to laundry, dry bags are a must-have. They are perfect for keeping your clothes dry and protected from the elements. Plus, they are lightweight and easy to carry, so you can take them with you when you travel. You can also wash the dry bag together while doing the laundry and use the same sack for your clean clothes.

Water Collector

A dry bag can be used as an emergency water collector. To do this, simply fill the bag with water and then tie off the top. This will create a bag that can be used to store emergency water from a variety of sources, such as rainwater or a river.

Cushion

An emergency cushion can come in handy during a natural disaster or other emergency situation. A dry sack cushion is easy to transport and can be used to sit on or as a comfortable pillow. A good emergency cushion should be made of durable materials that can withstand exposure to the elements, and it should be large enough to comfortably accommodate one or two people. Simply fill in the dry bag with clothes and you can use it right away.

Sandbag

There are many items that can be used as sandbags. In times of emergencies, people often use whatever they have on hand to create makeshift sandbags. Some of the more common items used as sandbags include rice sacks, dry bags, or tarpaulins. Sandbags are used to protect property from flooding. The bags are filled with sand and then placed around doorways, in front of garages, or wherever else water might enter the home. They can also be used as a weight to hold down tarps or tents. Sandbags can also be used to build a wall of protection from gunshots.

Fishing or Hunting Bags

During an adventure, fishing or hunting are some of the traditional activities, especially if you are an army or a navy on duty. Obviously, it can get really messy if you'll need to bring your wins back to the camp. Don't forget to use a dry bag to store any meat of fish to avoid guts or blood dripping stinky stains.

Things To Consider When Buying a Military Dry Bag

Size

The size of your dry sack is an important decision that needs to be made when packing for a trip. If the bag is too small, then there will not be enough room to pack everything that is needed. If the bag is too large, then it can cause hassle and be difficult to carry. It is important to find the right balance so that the bag is not too heavy and not too small. It should be right enough to hold a certain capacity. Make sure to look for a lightweight dry sack for easier packing.

Water Resistance

A water-resistant bag is important for a variety of reasons. One, it keeps your belongings dry in wet weather. Two, it can protect your belongings from accidental spills. And three, it gives you peace of mind when traveling or participating in outdoor activities.

Design

When you're buying a dry bag, it's important to check the design to make sure it's well-constructed. A poorly-made bag can lead to problems like the seams coming undone or the fabric wearing out sooner than it should. It's also important to check the materials that are used in the bag. Make sure that they possess high durability so that they can withstand regular use. By checking the design, you can make sure that you're getting a quality bag that will last for years to come.
