FAQ

What is "Certified Military Surplus Gear"?

It means Used, Genuine, Authentic USGI (U.S. Government Issue) gear that was made to military specifications and intended for use by the U.S. armed forces. When its “certified” it also means that each item has been individually inspected twice to ensure that the condition grade matches the description. This is vital since when you shop online you cannot see the item you get, and all used gear is different. Certifying used surplus gear ensures its consistency

What are common grades for military surplus?

Grade 1: New or nearly new condition, minimal or no signs of wear.
Grade 2: Good used condition, minor repairs, fading, or signs of use, but fully functional.
Grade 3: Heavily used, significant wear, may have tears or require substantial repair.

What is the MOLLE system and how is it used?

MOLLE (Modular Lightweight Load-carrying Equipment) is a system of heavy-duty nylon webbing straps stitched horizontally on backpacks and other gear. It allows users to attach compatible pouches, holsters, and other equipment securely, customizing their loadout based on specific needs. We have a video on how to use MOLLE at the following link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0XvY4E7ZRA&t=1s

                            Are military backpacks waterproof?

Most military backpacks are water-resistant, meaning they can repel light rain and splashes due to coatings like PU or Teflon. They are not typically fully waterproof unless they specifically state it and feature sealed seams or roll-top closures.
