Fit and sizing: Classic fit, cut old-school baggy through the seat and thighs. The heavier twill hangs with a thick drape and stacks clean over boots or high-tops espessially when you cinch the ankle ties. Because it is twill instead of ripstop, it presses to a sharper crease and works as a light windbreak in cooler weather. It is cotton-forward, so expect it to soften with wear and take a little shrink on a hot wash. These run roomy and the alpha sizes jump in bigger steps than you might expect, so measure your waist and order by the size chart instead of your jeans number, then fine-tune with the waist tabs.
Straight talk: Rothco isn’t sewn to military spec and the twill can look a little shinier up close. It holds up well, and for the camo patterns and the heavier look, it is the one to get. Good overall reviews on how they hold up and last.
