A sleep system gives you flexibility and warmth in one sleeping bag to cover all your temperature needs. The Special Forces Complete System made by Snugpak is known for being compact and lightweight compared to most other bags. It is designed to be a center zip modular system comprising of the Special Forces 1 Bag for use above freezing temperatures, and the Special Forces 2 Bag for below. Both bags come with their own stuff sack, reinforced foot, and quick release center zip, for when you need to get out of your sleeping bag in a hurry. This system comes with an extra zip baffle to allow both bags to be used together and retain the convenience of closing and opening with one quick release making it easy to use. You can also simply zip them together. Add a Special Forces Bivy and you’re light weight and ready to go.

This comfort figure assumes you will be sleeping lightly clothed such as thermal base layer or light sleeping shirt or pants within a tent on a good quality sleep mat. This in mind, at the max external temperature most users should feel comfortable and get a good night’s sleep. Low temperature ratings are temperatures the sleeping bags have been used at by fit individuals with the minimum of discomfort. There are many variables involved in sleeping bag temperature ratings such as climate, altitude, fitness, and metabolism, even your water intake and recent meal.
