U.S. Issue ECWCS Fire Resistant Thermal Fleece Top

The Fire-Resistant Environmental Ensemble (FREE) is part of a versatile military issue flame-resistant clothing system like the Extended Cold Weather System (ECWCS) for those who need the FR protection.  The Fleece 3/4 zipper top layer is designed to be a comfortable layer under CVS Nomex Coveralls and Flight A2CU uniforms to provide a mid-layer of warmth for those in tanks and assault vehicles. The bottom of the Fire-Resistant Fleece is made with a few inches of mesh to comfortably tuck into pants and not cause bulk especially when sitting.  If in combat or working around the hazard of flash fire, the military FREE Fire-Resistant fleece top is a perfect option.

Surplus is real military gear, and the exact conditions may vary.  We grade used military surplus to give you options and offer a clearer description. Military gear was built well and used by soldiers proving its tested quality.  We hope you find that it serves you well. 

Grade 1 Like New:  Out of the factory case or may have only minor signs of use or storage marks.

Grade 2 Used: What we call normal used surplus. The gear is fully usable and shows normal signs of use with a lot of life left. Some items may have stains, writing, color fading, repairs, and or surface rust on them.  We find that up to a small 1/4” hole or frays does not repair well and do not affect the gears performance.
