The Tactical LBV Load Bearing Vest known to some as an M81 for its woodland color. Part of the 'Individual Integrated Fighting System (IIFS) and designed to carry (6) 30-round magazines for the M16 style rife along with two frag grenade pockets that are great for smaller items. A now vintage and harder to find item, the Gen II style Load Bearing Vest has a mesh back while the Gen 1 has a solid material backing. This system has many names such as the LBV88, ITLBV or TLBV.  It is very well-made and constructed of a 7oz Cordura nylon fabric printed in the woodland camouflage pattern.

The idea of the LBV is all these pockets; great to use for any outdoor activity with plenty of uses.  Made for comfort and a snug fit, the shoulder straps are beefy 1/2-inch foam padding. The vest closes in front with two chest straps using plastic quick release buckles making it easy to take off. There is also webbing, and two D-Rings sewn to the back of the vest to be used as equipment attachment points making it compatible with ALICE gear.  Easy to fit with an Adjustable chest and waist strap with quick-release buckles.
