G.I. Mil Spec 3-Fold Shovel is a heavy-duty exact copy of the original U.S. Military AMES Shovel version. The tri-fold design folds up for easy carrying and storage when not in use and locks with a secure threaded collar. The shovel opens to 23 inches when fully extended and collapses to 9.5 inches when closed making it easy to carry. What is unique about the 3-fold design is that it can also be locked in a 90-degree angle for chopping and other tasks without compromising strength.  The military style shovel features a steel blade with a serrated saw edge and aluminum handle.
