Description
The Generation 2 1606M Frame is a FILBE frame upgrade for those who need it. As you know, Marines are hard on their gear. The 2nd generation frame is made to significantly increase its strength and durability in the field under combat conditions. The new enhanced frame design has reinforced the vertical mold area of the frame and removed some of the open spaces giving a significant increase to its strength.
This enhanced design adds only 0.15 lbs. to the total weight of the frame. The 1606MC remains compliant with current US military standards for airborne deployment.
