The ALICE system was built to move a heavy load on a frame instead of on your shoulders, and it's still one of the best ways to do it. The Army ran it from the 1970s through the GWOT era, and plenty of hunters and long-range hikers never gave it up. This is the G.I. Type version, built to the same pattern in 600D polyester. Since they have been out of government issue contracting these are imported and have done well.
Same layout as the issue LC-1 medium: one deep main compartment, three large vented outside pockets, accessory loops down the sides and bottom for a bedroll, entrenching tool, or whatever else won't fit inside. The pack mounts to any standard ALICE frame, so it drops right into a setup you already own.
