The Army intermediate is a great military sleeping bag to find in new condition.  The U.S. issue Military Intermediate Sleeping Bag is designed to be used by itself or along with the patrol and bivy to create a complete system.  Made of durable U.S. made materials the intermediate bag is rated from 30 degrees to -10 degrees and has been the military standard for many years keeping soldiers warm.  The insulation is sewn in baffles to prevent it from migrating inside the bag preventing cold spots. In order to trap in the most heat the foot box is anatomically designed and stuffed with twice the insulation as the rest of the bag and you can feel the difference. Other features like Sewn-in quilted chest collar, sculpted hood along with a draw string for head and face adjustments offers maximum heat retention to ensure a good nigh sleep. This is hands down, a great bag.
